Emmanuel Famiano is a Mexican-American photographic artist that strays from the conventional, utilizing techniques to manipulate visual imagery, and create stark contrasts between the subject and the camera. Through analogue photography, he finds the moment between the shutter and subject ephemeral, and spends his creative process in the darkroom — where he will use various methods to destroy, agitate, and exacerbate certain shadows and highlights to acquire the desired aesthetic.
